about me
Hi, I'm Rebecca
I'm a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) offering online and in-person counselling for adults in Vancouver and across Canada. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and somatic approaches that help you reconnect with yourself.
My Lived Experience
I'm a counselling therapist, wife, mother, friend, storyteller, messy perfectionist, and big feeler. I love surrounding myself with thoughtful, funny, and sensitive humans—and I work with people just like that.
I identify as neurodivergent and parent a child with AuDHD. I deeply understand the unique challenges of being a neurodivergent parent raising neurodivergent children—the nervous system dysregulation, sensory overwhelm, and emotional intensity that can arise when you're managing both your needs and your child's in a world not designed for either of you.
I live with chronic health challenges, including ME/CFS. While I'm supported and manage well, I also know what it's like to cope with invisible illness while showing up for your life and the people you love.
As a mother, I feel especially called to help women navigate the profound transition into motherhood—particularly when faced with overwhelming emotions, postpartum depression, identity loss, or the complexities of parenting neurodivergent children.
I understand what it's like to believe you're not enough. I spent years thinking I needed to achieve great things to be worthy of love. After many failures, transitions, and deep self-reflection, I now lovingly accept all that I am. My value comes from how I show up, not what I achieve. My sensitivity is my greatest gift.
My Training & Approach
I specialize in NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy)—trauma-informed modalities that focus on developmental trauma, attachment patterns, and building capacity for connection.
I completed an intensive three-year experiential counselling program at Clearmind International, where being a client before becoming a therapist was required. I've done my own deep therapeutic work, and that foundation shapes how I show up for clients every day.
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I help you explore the survival patterns keeping you stuck and move toward greater connection, choice, and authenticity. Clients describe me as gentle, grounding, and insightful—someone who holds complexity without rushing change.
I support clients with:
Complex and developmental trauma
Anxiety, burnout, and nervous system dysregulation
Relationship patterns and boundary challenges
Parenthood stress and caregiving fatigue
Life transitions, grief, and identity exploration
Neurodivergence and chronic health navigation
My Philosophy
I don't view you through a lens of pathology. You're not broken—you adapted brilliantly to difficult circumstances. Now you deserve support in building new possibilities.
I believe in accessible, competency-based counselling: expertise to support others comes from skill, presence, lived experience, and specialized training—not academic hierarchies alone. Mental health support should be accessible to everyone, not gatekept by credential systems.
I practice on the unceeded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations and am committed to decolonizing therapeutic practice, reducing pathologizing language, and honoring diverse worldviews.
